FORMER New South Wales dog Tadmore Dunoon produced the run of his career to score a narrow but sensational win in the Rapidvite Tasmanian Derby final over 515 metres in Launceston on Monday night.
The Ted Medhurst-trained dog was only fairly away from box five and met trouble approaching the first turn.
Down the back straight he improved gradually through the field and chased down the leader Miki Moto Mike in the home straight to score by a head.
It was Medhurst's first major win since resuming from a lengthy break from training.
For Tadmore Dunoon it was his fifth win in succession and the sky could be the limit for the son of Collision-Baretta Betty.
