Rapidvite Story
The Rapidvite brand was founded in Melbourne Eastern Suburbs by the founder Steve Robinson in 1973, with the initial products being formulated for racing Thoroughbreds, Harness Racing and Equestrian Eventers. Rapidvite then introduced an extended product range for Racing Greyhounds and Show Dogs.
The early use of Rapidvite resulted in horses succeeding in events such as The Melbourne Cup, Harness Racings - The Inter Dominion and Olympic Trials.
Rapidvite developed great business dealings and friendships with owners, trainers and business people across all codes;
Trainers like John Meagher (now based in Hong Kong), Harness Trainer Jimmy O'Sullivan and Ted Demmler, just to name a few.
These early friendships helped develop the Rapidvite brand worldwide.
Graeme Bate, a top Australian Greyhound Trainer, was introduced to the Rapidvite range of products. Graeme's comment on the product, Vite-Amino GB, "This product is that good I will put my name to it", was too good to ignore so we took him up on the offer, hence "GB".
Rapidvite has been a supporter of the Greyhound adoption program (GAP) and sponsors many events for the adopted greyhounds and will continue to support this great cause.
After 33 years of manufacturing Rapidvite products, the Founder Steve Robinson retired in 2007. The new Director of Rapidvite, Ron Scott, said “The Rapidvite brand will continue to grow its market share and develop new markets globally.
Rapidvite Director. Ron Scott stated "Nothing will basically change at Rapidvite, it is business as usual and Steve will remain as a consultant to assist in the development of new products."
